On October 18th, 2018, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Guangzhou hosted a group of students from Huamei International School. The purpose of the meeting was to tell the guests about duties of the General Consul and about how the Consulate works, as well as to present the most important facts about Poland and the Polish culture.

Students aged 15-17 from countries such as South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand listened to the Consul General Ms Joanna Skoczek’s speech about the work of the head of mission and the challenges that come with it, as well as the specifics of working in China. The students, assisted by Deputy Consul Ms Joanna Jachacy, visited the visa section of the Consulate and got acquainted with the procedures of granting visas to Poland.

Afterwards, our guests listened to a lecture about Poland. They had the opportunity to learn not only about the most beautiful places in Poland, the Polish cuisine and language, but also Polish cosmetics and clothing brands, computer games and films. Thanks to the knowledge gained during the presentation, students perfectly answered all quiz questions about Poland.

Then came the time for integration games: the students and the Consulate's staff were divided into two teams and wrote Chinese characters, holding a single brush together.

At the end of the meeting, there was a photo session and the guests received participation diplomas.
